Join us for an exciting evening exploring ways ancient and modern cultures around the world experience and interpret a solar eclipse. When the world is plunged into total darkness, even for only a few minutes, can be a dramatic and life-altering spiritual experience.
Fred Harold Jensen will explore how the brief midday darkness of the umbra has imbued meaning into the human experience throughout time. He will lead a conversation on how Far East, Norse, Native American, Monotheistic, and modern cultures have considered the ethereal celestial phenomenon of the Total Solar Eclipses.
